How to Play

Play Freehead Skate online for free. Freehead Skate is a 12-stage time trial obstacle course skateboarding game. Jump over low obstacles and pop your head off to ride under high obstacles. Get to the finish line without crashing to beat the level. Finish the game quickly to beat the record time. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Tap anywhere on the game load screen to bring up the welcome screen.
Select the New Game button on the welcome screen to start a new game.
- If you have played before a Continue button below the New Game button allows you to continue your prior game.
- Levels are unlocked sequentially.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
- The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right, a more games button in the lower left, and a game developer information button in the lower right.
- Game Controls
  - Desktop
    - Press the A key on your keyboard to jump.
    - Press the S key on your keyboard to have your head jump off your body.
    - If you prefer the controls to be distant from each other, you can also use the A or S key for one type of jump and use the mouse left click button for the other type of jump.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - Tap the left side of the screen to jump your body.
      - Tap the right side of the screen to have your head jump.
      - Controls & indicators
        The upper left corner of the screen shows your cumulative play time.
        Across the top center there are dots which indicate which level you are on.
        The upper right corner of the screen has buttons to return home and control game sound.
        Game Play
        Jumping
        You automatically move toward the right in this game.
        The only thing you control is if you jump, if you pop your head off, or if you do both.
        You can jump your head multiple times as it crosses different platforms, even if it does not connect to your body in between.
        In some cases you have to cycle back and forth between jumping head and body even while they are not connected.
        In some cases this timing for jumps is quite tight.
        If your head is popped off and is about to reconnect to your body you can’t jump your body again until after the head reconnects.
        In some cases it may be beneficial to jump when not needed before popping the head off so the head lands earlier on a platform, so that it can jump again quickly before reaching the edge of the platform.
        In many areas of the level you’ll need to jump and time your head popping off while you are in midair.
        Levels
        There are 12 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
        Levels get more difficult as you progress through the game.
        You can’t go back and replay prior levels without starting the game over at the first level.
        Dying
        If your body or head runs into anything you die.
        The game offers unlimited continues, but you start at the beginning of the level whenever you die.
        The goal of the game is to make it to the finish line without crashing as fast as possible.
        For each level the game counts how long it took you to beat it – including all the times you played and crashed.
        At the end of the game it shows your total gameplay time to beat the game & if that beat your all time fastest time.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like skateboarding games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
