Play Word Mahjong online for free. Word Mahjong is a 10-level Mahjong Solitaire game crossed with a word puzzle game. Clear the stack by forming as many words as you can using the free tiles. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select Play to begin.
Select How to Play to open the tutorial screen.
Select High Scores to open the leaderboard.
Select the drop down list on the bottom left corner to choose a game language.
Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - With your mouse, left click on any of the free tiles to form a word.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Form a word by tapping on the free tiles with your fingers.
    - Controls and indicators
      - The game’s controls and indicators are located on the bottom row.
      - The bottom-most row is where you assemble the words.
      - The row above it contains the following options, from left to right:
        Score
        Level number
        Bottom right controls:
        Top row
        Undo button: Takes back your last action
        Enlarge button: Lets you switch between full-screen and windowed modes
        Music button: Turns the game’s music on and off
        Bottom row
        Reset button: Starts the game from the beginning
        Speaker button: Turns the game’s sound effects on and off
        Pause button: Opens the pause menu
        Game Play
        Levels
        Levels are unlocked sequentially. You automatically begin your first game at Level 1.
        The game lets you choose between starting from the first level or continuing from the last level you unlocked.
        You can save your score on the leaderboard when you finish all levels or hit a game over.
        There are 10 levels in this game.
        Basic rules
        Form valid English words using the tiles in the stack.
        No matter what game language you chose, you will always need to look for English words.
        You can only form words out of the free tiles, which have at least 2 sides not bordered by another tile.
        If you form a valid word, the check button on the right corner of the text box will go green.
        Use blank wild card tiles to stand in for letter you don’t have.
        There are only a few of them on the stack, so use them responsibly.
        You don’t need to specify what letters they’ll stand for. If the check turns green, it can be used.
        The game has no time limit. Remove as many words as you can in your own pace.
        Clear the entire stack to win the level.
        Scoring
        Your score depends on the length and complexity of the words. Harder, longer words using uncommon letters get higher points.
        Hints
        Choose longer, more voluminous words to remove as many letters as you can in the opening game.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Scrabble-inspired word games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
