How to Play

Play Halloween Connect online for free. Halloween Connect is a timed 10-stage Mahjong Connect game where players connect identical monsters and spooky objects to remove them from the board. Make many moves in a short period of time to activate a chain score bonus. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the Play button in the center of the welcome screen to start the game.
Below and to the left of the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
The lower left corner of the welcome screen contains a language select dropdown.
The lower right corner of the welcome screen contains buttons for social media sharing and reading game developer information.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Use your mouse left click button to select a stone & then select an identically matching stone to remove the pair from the board.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the screen with a finger to select a stone & then select an identically matching stone to remove the pair from the board.
    - Controls & indicators
      - The right rail of the game contains the controls.
        At the top it shows your current level number, cumulative game score, and remaining time to beat the current level.
        Next there are buttons to shuffle tiles or take hints.
        At the bottom there are 4 buttons to pause the game, switch to full screen mode, control game sound, and control game music.
        Game Play
        Matching stones
        Identical
        The stones you match must be identical to each other.
        Line drawing
        When you select two identical stones the game will try to draw a line between the two stones to connect them. The line must not pass through any other stones, and it needs to
        be a straight horizontal line

        Levels
        This game has 10 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
        You can’t go back to previously beat levels without starting the game over at the first level.
        Timer
        The first stage gives you 5 minutes to beat it.
        Each subsequent stage gives you 15 seconds fewer than the prior stage.
        Board design
        The first stage is a 7×6 grid of 42 tiles, or 21 tile pairs.
        The second stage is an 8×6 grid of 48 tiles, or 24 tile pairs.
        The third stage is a 9×6 grid of 54 tiles, or 27 tile pairs.
        The fourth stage is a 10×7 grid of 70 tiles, or 35 tile pairs.
        The fifth stage is an 11×8 grid of 88 tiles, or 44 tile pairs.
        The sixth stage is a 12×8 grid of 96 tiles, or 48 tile pairs.
        The seventh stage is a 13×8 grid of 104 tiles, or 52 tile pairs.
        The eighth stage is a 14×9 grid of 126 tiles, or 63 tile pairs.
        The nineth stage is a 15×10 grid of 150 tiles, or 75 tile pairs.
        The tenth stage is the same size as the nineth.
        Scoring
        Your game score is cumulative across levels.
        Scoring points
        You earn 50 points for each tile pair you remove.
        Chain bonus
        If you remove multiple tile sets consecutively in a short period of time you earn a chain bonus.
        The chain bonus starts at 30 points and moves up as you increase your chain length. Chain scores increase in a sequence like 30, 60, 100, 150, 210, 280, 360, 450, 550, 660, 780, 910, 1,050, etc. … depending on how long you keep the chain going.
        To activate the chain bonus you must select the next tiles before the first object has left the screen, which in turn means it is easier to keep chains going if you select tiles that are physically distant so that it takes longer for the matches to happen.
        Each second you have remaining when you clear a level is worth 30 points.
        Spending points
        Tile shuffles cost 250 points.
        Hints cost 250 points.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Connect tile match games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
